Sandwiches. Sure they are great, but they can get boring, especially if it’s the same thing repeatedly. So why not switch to a wrap?

A wrap can be rolled up with anything you desire for a fantastic lunch. Or even dinner.

They are versatile and easily packed for work or school lunches. They fit into a lunch box or brown bag and can be stuffed with meat, veggies, or anything you want!

1. Chicken Shawarma

Shawarma is a Middle Eastern way of cooking slices of meat. Pieces of meat are stacked on a vertical spit and rotated in front of the heat source.

As the outside meat is cooked, it is then thinly shaved off, and the result is juicy and tasty meat.

This recipe is a bit different from Shawarma, but the general concept is the same. It has the same flavor and tenderness as the Middle Eastern recipe. Our recipe, like Shawarma, is served with veggies tucked into a pita wrap.

2. Lemon Chicken Wraps

Yummy! Chicken flatbread wrap with a lemon kick. Yes, please. Using charred lemony pieces of chicken, flatbread, and Sriracha sauce, it’s easy to understand why this looks so good.

But if you don’t have the time to marinate the chicken (or don’t want to), you can season it with Italian spices, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

3. Beef and Cheese Wraps

These delicious wraps are ideal for a picnic or any on-the-go lunch. They work great for school lunches as well.

You can quickly put them together in the morning. Just pre-shred the carrots the night before or buy pre-shredded carrots, and it’s easy peasy.

They also make a great meal to bring to any party as they are sure to be a hit.

4. Classic BLT Sandwich Wrap

The BLT wrap is an easy favorite among most of us. You can make them ahead of time, and they travel well in an insulated lunch box.

They are also fantastic for a quick at-home meal. If you use bacon that is precooked, you can cut your time in half. You may have most of these items on hand already, and you can certainly add to them!

5. Pizza Wraps

Pizza is almost a given when it comes to pleasing everyone, especially kids. It can be served hot, cold, homemade, pretty much any way you want.

These pizza wraps are a hit with kids. Let them get creative and add their toppings. The choices are endless, so have fun with it.

6. French Provencal Wrap

Bring this into work, and your co-workers will ask for the recipe. You can easily use store-bought rotisserie chicken for this. Pack it with spinach, goat cheese, and mustard sauce, and anything else you would like.

Provencal is very flavorful mustard made with dijon and red peppers. The best part is, there are almost no calories in it!

You can sub out the chicken for steak in this recipe, or if you are meat-free, add a portobello mushroom and or some tofu, and you have it made.

7. Peanut Butter Guava Protein Wrap

Because it satisfies the taste of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, it’s a hit with kids. And with adults too, as there is something nostalgic about it.

And this lunch wrap is very healthy, as it packs bananas, peanut butter, honey, guava jam, and more. It has a fantastic taste with excellent health benefits and is sure to keep you full!

Wraps are easy and a yummy alternative to the sandwich. I hope some of these recipes inspire you to try something different!
